Intern - Ballpark Entertainment (2026 Season)

About the role#

This internship provides hands-on experience in the coordination and execution of in-game entertainment at PNC Park. You will support the daily operations of the Bucco Brigade, Ball Team, and Pierogies, contributing to the fan experience during Pirates home games. This role involves planning, staffing, and executing promotions and fan interactions to enhance the atmosphere at the ballpark.

What you'll do#

• Lead the In-Game Entertainment team to support game day presentations, community initiatives, and fan engagement events.
• Attend scoreboard and production meetings to stay informed on game day scripts, timing, and entertainment cues.
• Coordinate scheduling for all In-Game Entertainment needs.
• Manage team communication to ensure staff are informed of schedules, roles, and responsibilities.
• Oversee Bucco Brigade inventory and staff for fan engagement events outside of PNC Park.
• Assist with the planning and execution of pregame, in-game, and postgame activities on and off the field.
• Email post-game deliverables to participants of pre-game experiences, such as the First Pitch and National Anthem.
• Assist with training and onboarding seasonal employees and utilize Shoflo to support daily in-game scripts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a degree-seeking program at the Junior, Senior, or Graduate level.
• Major in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous event management experience is preferred.
• Prior experience with a collegiate or professional sports team is preferred.
