About the role#
Pinon Unified School District seeks an Exceptional Student Services Teacher for a self-contained classroom. You will work within our faculty to provide instruction and support to students with exceptional needs. This role involves collaborating with staff and families to promote student growth from preschool through grade 12.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Provide instruction and support in collaboration with other teachers and staff.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction based on your evaluations.
- Assist with the development and implementation of behavior modification plans.
- Maintain accurate records regarding student progress and services provided.
- Collaborate with families and community agencies to support student achievement.
- Attend staff meetings and professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with endorsements in exceptional student services.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
- Experience working with students who have a variety of exceptionalities and disabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to student needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Location: Pinon, Arizona.

- Compensation includes a $15,000 annual critical need stipend and a $3,000 signing bonus.
