Exceptional Student Services Teacher (Inclusion and Resource Education)

About the role#

Pinon Unified School District is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Teacher to support students with exceptional needs within a primary and secondary educational setting. This role focuses on promoting student growth through individualized instruction and collaborative support across preschool through grade 12.

What you'll do#

• Provide instruction and support to students with exceptional needs.
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction to meet evolving needs.
• Assist in the development and implementation of behavior modification plans.
• Maintain accurate records regarding student progress and services provided.
• Collaborate with families, community agencies, and school staff to support student achievement and well-being.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field.
• Valid Arizona teaching certificate with endorsements in exceptional student services.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
• Experience working with students with a variety of exceptionalities and disabilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability in responding to student needs and changing situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
