About the role#
Pinon Unified School District is seeking an Exceptional Student Services Teacher to support students from preschool through grade 12. This role involves working within a team of educators to provide instruction and foster academic and personal growth for students with exceptional needs in a supportive learning environment.
What you'll do#
- Provide instruction and support to students with exceptional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavior modification plans.
- Maintain accurate records regarding student progress and services provided.
- Collaborate with families and community agencies to support student achievement and well-being.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development activities.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in education, special education, or a related field.
- Valid Arizona teaching certificate with endorsements in exceptional student services.
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education.
- Experience working with students with a variety of exceptionalities and disabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers and staff.
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to student needs and changing situations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Location: Pinon, Arizona.

- Employment type: Full-time.
- Compensation: This position is paid and includes a $15,000 annual critical need stipend and a $3,000 signing bonus.
