About the role#
Pinehurst Resort is hiring a Golf Operations Intern for a full-time, paid position in Pinehurst, North Carolina. This is an on-site role that offers an hourly wage of 12 USD.
What you'll do#
- Assist the golf shop office staff with daily operations.
- Handle daily opening and closing procedures, including bank and computer tasks.
- Manage daily point of sale transactions and schedule tee times.
- Assist with monthly inventory control and daily shop maintenance, such as restocking and cleaning.
- Maintain general golf shop supplies.
- Respond to email and telephone inquiries from guests.
- Work alongside member committees to support member events.
- Attend continuing education and cross-training programs.
- Meet and exceed guest expectations while maintaining a positive team attitude.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Professional Golf Management curriculum.
- Current attendance at a two or four year college or university with an accredited P.G.M. program.
- Strong customer service skills.
- General knowledge of the Rules of Golf.
Location & details#
- Location: Pinehurst, North Carolina.
- Work environment: This role requires regular exposure to outside weather conditions. You must be aware of your surroundings, including the potential for errant golf balls, and follow proper golf etiquette. You may be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
