About the role#
The Project Coordinator-Internship supports the PCA Community Cafe, a pilot program designed to provide nutritious meals to older Philadelphians at participating local restaurants. This role focuses on program development, restaurant recruitment, and participant engagement within the Tacony section of the city. This is a part-time, hybrid position (following an initial training period) with an anticipated end date of March 1, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of project policies and materials for the organization, restaurant partners, and program participants.
- Create a targeted marketing plan to reach underserved older adults and build relationships with community groups.
- Recruit and onboard restaurants, including managing contracts, menu development, and ongoing relationship building.
- Conduct community-based participant registration and onboarding using project materials and technology.
- Provide technical assistance to restaurants and participants throughout the project.
- Manage and analyze data collected from registrations and surveys to evaluate project outcomes.
- Monitor project goals and contribute to reports for leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current graduate student status or recent Master’s level graduate.
- Academic background in Public Health, Business Administration, Communications, Sociology, or Psychology.
- Outstanding project management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in technology and software.
- Demonstrated experience in data management, analysis, outreach, and relationship building.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
Location & details#
- Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (after training).
- Compensation: $15 per hour.
- Schedule: 20 hours per week.
