About the role#
The Strategy & Consulting team acts as an internal consultancy, working directly with Pfizer senior leadership to develop business strategies across Corporate, Commercial, and R&D divisions. As a Summer Associate, you will report to a specific project area, known as a Vertical, and contribute to high-impact business challenges. You will stay connected to key business opportunities identified by leadership teams to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
What you'll do#
- Shape and develop execution strategies by managing workstreams across a portfolio of projects.
- Contribute to the completion of annual strategic plans and aligned action plans.
- Analyze market dynamics to identify trends and assess their impact on business performance.
- Represent the current status of opportunity evaluations to internal business partners.
- Participate in team learning opportunities, including hands-on project experiences and professional development sessions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a full-time MBA program as a 1st-year student, graduating in Spring 2028.
- A minimum of a BS/BA degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Healthcare experience in commercial, corporate, or R&D biopharma functions involving strategy development.
- A basic understanding of US and global healthcare trends, market dynamics, and the drug development process.
- Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to identify alternative scenarios and develop recommendations.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based at Pfizer headquarters in New York City, New York.
- You will work on-site 4 days a week.
