About the role#
The Live Operations Intern role offers hands-on experience within our live production business. You will bridge your classroom learning with real-world applications by working alongside experienced professionals. This internship involves shadowing teams across multiple departments and contributing to daily operations.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through hatchery, feed mill, grow out, breeders, and harvest facilities.
- Manage a project throughout the summer to improve live performance or address a specific business need.
- Develop an understanding of production processes, animal husbandry, and technical skills.
- Participate in learning events to build your knowledge of the company, Agri Stats, and soft skills.
- Complete weekly assessments to demonstrate your progress.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, or Business Administration.
- A 3.0 GPA or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
- A valid State Driver's License and approval to drive a company vehicle.
- Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 lbs.

- Location: Eagle Springs, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Work Modality: On-site.
