About the role#
Join our Live Operations team for a Summer 2027 internship. This role offers hands-on experience at the center of our live production business. You will bridge your classroom learning with real-world applications by shadowing teams and contributing to daily operations. This is a full-time, paid position.
What you'll do#
- Rotate through our hatchery, feed mill, grow out, breeders, and harvest facilities.
- Learn about production processes, animal husbandry, and technical skills.
- Manage a project throughout the summer to improve live performance or address a specific business need.
- Participate in learning events to build your understanding of our company, Agri Stats, and soft skills.
- Complete weekly assessments to track your progress.
- Perform various roles and responsibilities as needed within the business unit.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited four-year institution pursuing a bachelor's degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Agribusiness Management, or Business Administration.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and within a team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate others.
- A valid State Driver’s License and approval to drive a company vehicle.
Location & details#
- This internship is based in Thorntown, Indiana.
- The role is on-site with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
