About the role#
Per Scholas Seattle is looking for a Technical Support and Office Assistant Intern to join our team. This role offers hands-on experience in IT support and hardware troubleshooting while providing insight into the operations of a workforce development non-profit. You will work closely with our local leadership team to support classroom operations, recruitment, professional development, and daily site management. This position is designed for individuals looking to launch an IT career or gain experience in the non-profit sector.
What you'll do#
- Technical Support & Classroom Operations: Troubleshoot, configure, and maintain campus hardware, including laptops and workstations. Provide direct technical support in classrooms, assist with attendance, and support learners using the IT Support curriculum. Act as the point of contact for loaned learner laptops.
- Professional Development: Organize career resources such as resume templates, interview guides, and AI prompt libraries. Track learner participation, assist with professional development sessions, and help coordinate graduation ceremonies.
- Talent Solutions & Outreach: Conduct outreach to potential employer partners via phone and email. Assist in organizing mock interviews, employer panels, and networking events. Represent the organization at offsite recruitment events.
- Operations & Data: Maintain data within Salesforce. Monitor inventory for kitchen supplies, manage daily kitchenette cleanup, and assist with general campus event logistics.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and a practical understanding of Salesforce or similar CRMs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences and business executives.
- A genuine interest in technology, hardware troubleshooting, and non-profit operations.
- Strong project management, follow-up habits, and detail-oriented time management.
- A positive, adaptable attitude and a willingness to support others.
- Prior customer service or client-facing experience is helpful.
- Graduation from a Per Scholas training program is preferred but not required.
