About the role#
PCL is hiring a Marketing & Communications Student for our Toronto district within the Canadian Buildings Division. This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term starting in January. You will work on-site for a four-month duration.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to support integrated plans and campaigns that align with district priorities.
- Research, write, and edit content including articles, social media posts, website copy, project profiles, and executive communications.
- Develop clear, concise messaging tailored to diverse audiences.
- Support the execution of communications campaigns and community initiatives.
- Assist with coordinating internal and external events, conferences, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders to support storytelling, branding, and campaign delivery.
- Manage the weekly internal employee newsletter, including content development and distribution.
- Track media coverage, campaign performance, and engagement metrics.
- Maintain marketing assets and databases within internal systems like SAMI.
- Conduct research to support the development of project profiles, resumes, and marketing materials.
- Support brand consistency across all marketing outputs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree or diploma program in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with a sharp eye for detail and brand voice.
- A creative mindset with graphic design skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator) is an asset.
- Strong organizational, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A proactive, self-driven approach and strong interpersonal skills.
- An interest in construction, storytelling, and building brand presence.

- Locations: Oakville, ON and Toronto, ON.
- Term: Winter 2027 (4 months).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $19.57 to $28.69, based on experience and qualifications.
