About the role#
PCL Construction is hiring a Health, Safety, and Environment Student for a full-time summer internship. This position runs for three months from May to August 2027. You will work on-site at projects in Aspen or Denver, Colorado.
What you'll do#
- Assist site HSE professionals with inspections and incident investigations.
- Help orient new employees and deliver safety programs to site personnel.
- Manage, review, and distribute safety documentation and statistical information.
- Input daily and weekly HSE data into the company database.
- Support the development and implementation of project-specific HSE plans.
- Implement and monitor the PSI program and conduct PSI audits.
- Ensure HSE programs comply with company standards, state requirements, and OSHA regulations.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Familiarity with construction industry software and OSHA regulations.
- Training in hazard anticipation, identification, and assessment.
- An OSHA 10 Hour or 30 Hour Certificate of Training.
- Experience researching and compiling information on occupational health and industrial hygiene.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Compensation: Paid position ($22 to $28 per hour).
