About the role#
PCL Construction is seeking an Accounting Student for a position in the BC Region. This role is based in Richmond, British Columbia, and runs for a term starting in January 2027. You will work under the direct supervision of the Accounting Manager to support our local operations.
What you'll do#
- Enter invoices into the PCL accounting system
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier statements
- Handle inter-company invoicing, courier, and phone costing
- Run and update financial reports
- Field telephone calls, manage filing, and perform data entry
- Type correspondence and format various documents
- Provide coverage for the office receptionist using a multi-line switchboard and paging system
- Assist with board meeting preparation, including material distribution and room setup
- Support other administrative staff with overflow tasks
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Accounting major
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Proficiency with computer systems and various software applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize work and manage multiple tasks at once
- A flexible and energetic approach to work
