About the role#
This is a part-time, hourly position for a student to support our engineering and project teams. You will work under close supervision to complete routine tasks that rely on fundamental engineering, mathematical, and construction concepts. You will help our staff prepare graphic materials, design sketches, study materials, and permit applications.
What you'll do#
- Assist with construction phase services under the direction of a project engineer.
- Check engineering calculations and perform basic design calculations.
- Complete quantity takeoffs and assist with cost estimates.
- Help prepare marketing proposals.
- Collect field data and test samples.
- Maintain the technical library and handle routine document filing and delivery.
- Use computers and computer-aided design software to complete project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current student status in Civil Engineering or a related discipline at an accredited college or university.
