About the role#
As an Underwriting Summer Intern, you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain hands-on experience in risk assessment and data analytics. This role focuses on building technical and project management skills while supporting the team in delivering underwriting solutions. You will participate in a collaborative environment where you contribute to projects that help our clients and business succeed.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to building the operational strength of the Underwriting team.
- Assist in developing and maintaining tools, resources, and workflows to improve underwriting efficiency.
- Help create reports and presentations to share findings with stakeholders.
- Support initiatives aimed at strengthening team capabilities and capacity.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Risk Management, Data Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Must be a rising junior or rising senior at an accredited college or university.
- Strong understanding of data analytics principles.
- Mid-to-advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Strong communication skills and an analytical mindset.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- An interest in project management.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
