About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience for students interested in civil engineering. You will work within project teams under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer. You will assist with design tasks across various infrastructure areas, including transportation, water resources, land development, and structural engineering.
What you'll do#
- Assist project managers and engineers in preparing plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Develop and evaluate design alternatives by analyzing engineering parameters and project constraints.
- Use computer-aided engineering software to create drawings, exhibits, and supporting documents.
- Participate in site visits, field activities, construction observation, and data collection.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and engineering studies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Civil or Agricultural Engineering at an ABET-accredited institution.
- Familiarity with standard engineering principles and practices.
- Basic proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is on-site.
- Available locations include San Antonio, Amarillo, Fort Worth, New Braunfels, Tyler, Austin, Longview, Houston, Corpus Christi, and Plano, Texas.
