About the role#
Palmetto Superfoods is looking for a Marketing Intern to help bring our brand to life. You will report to our Marketing Coordinator and assist with events, local collaborations, and content creation. This 12-month, paid role involves 25-35 hours per week. We are looking for someone who loves wellness culture and wants to help turn customers into loyal regulars.
What you'll do#
- Assist with planning and executing in-store and local events.
- Coordinate event logistics, including setup, breakdown, and material transport.
- Engage with customers at events to share product benefits and gather feedback.
- Help design and run promotions like new flavor launches.
- Monitor social media engagement and respond to comments.
- Capture photos and short videos for social media use.
- Support outreach to local athletes, fitness studios, and wellness partners.
- Maintain partner lists and help schedule social media posts.
- Write copy for captions, newsletters, and flyers.
- Keep shared calendars and content folders organized.
- Provide general administrative support to the marketing team.
What you'll need#
- Genuine interest in wellness, healthy food, and community building.
- Ability to connect with teammates and customers in person.
- Familiarity with social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.
- Positive personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to solve problems with a calm and confident approach.
- Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work shifts between 9AM and 5PM PST, with some flexibility for evenings and weekends.
- Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Proficiency with computers and mobile tools.
- Experience with Asana, Slack, or GSuite is a plus.
- A Food Handler Permit or prior food service experience is a plus.
Location & details#
- This role is on-site at our San Jose, California location.
- Compensation is $17.50 to $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
- Benefits include paid time off, a retirement savings plan, and a free bowl or smoothie on each day worked.
