About the role#
Palmetto Superfoods is hiring a Marketing Intern to join our team in Burlingame. This is a 12-month, paid opportunity for someone who enjoys wellness culture and wants to gain hands-on experience in brand building. You will report to the Marketing Coordinator and help execute events, manage social media content, and support local partnerships.
What you'll do#
- Plan and execute local and in-store events, including logistics and on-site setup.
- Engage with customers to share product benefits and collect feedback.
- Design and run promotions for new menu items and limited-time offers.
- Create content by capturing photos and videos for social media platforms.
- Draft copy for email newsletters, flyers, and social media captions.
- Manage outreach to local fitness studios, athletes, and wellness partners.
- Maintain organized records, including partner lists, shared calendars, and content folders.
- Provide administrative support to the marketing team.
- Ensure all menus and displays are current and on-brand.
What you'll need#
- A genuine interest in healthy food, wellness, and community building.
- Comfort connecting with customers and partners in person.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and basic content creation.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
- A reliable, organized, and team-oriented approach.
- Ability to work at least part-time during business hours (9AM-5PM PST), with flexibility for some evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency with computers and mobile tools.
- Knowledge of Asana, Slack, GSuite, or AI tools is a plus.
- Food experience or an active Food Handler Permit is a plus.
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours, lift 25 lbs, and move frequently as needed.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlingame, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $17.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: 25-35 hours per week, Monday to Friday with some weekend availability.
