Integrated Grid Planning Strategy & Industry Leadership Intern

About the role#

The Integrated Grid Planning (IGP) Strategy & Industry Leadership Intern will support the Principal of IGP Strategy & Advocacy in executing high-priority strategic objectives. This role focuses on strategic synthesis, coordination, and communication, providing exposure to how utility strategy, regulation, and investment planning intersect across the electric Transmission and Distribution systems.

What you'll do#

• Track and support committee and industry participation, including IEEE, utility forums, and working groups, for Expert and Principal Engineers.
• Maintain the IGP 3-year roadmap artifact, including version control and dependency tracking.
• Log and track incoming regulatory requests, meetings, and data inquiries to ensure timely routing and acknowledgment.
• Support the development of IGP value framework white papers for IEEE ITSLC, including research, outline development, graphics, and editorial support.
• Collaborate with team members to support various strategic initiatives, including the preparation of presentations and reports for stakeholders.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education towards a degree during or after the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 cumulative and major GPA.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
