Business Analyst Intern-Accessibility

About the role#

This internship focuses on ensuring digital accessibility across Pacific Gas and Electric Company's public-facing content. You will support the organization in meeting regulatory requirements by remediating documents and web materials, establishing quality controls, and providing technical evidence for audits.

What you'll do#

• Review, remediate, and validate the accessibility of publicly posted documents, including PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel files, as well as web-based materials.
• Conduct accessibility testing using both automated tools and manual techniques, including the use of assistive technologies.
• Develop and maintain accessibility standards, templates, and technical guidance for content creators.
• Establish repeatable remediation workflows and quality controls for both new and existing content.
• Support accessibility audits and regulatory inquiries by providing documentation, remediation tracking, and technical evidence.
• Partner with application owners and vendors to address accessibility gaps in platforms and templates.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Graphic Design, or a related field at an accredited university.
• Must be continuing education toward your degree during or after the internship.
• Knowledge of ADA, WCAG 2.1+, and Section 508 standards.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow structured standards.
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical staff to resolve content issues upstream.
