Summer 2026 Intern | Product Planning

About the role#

The Product Planning internship at PACCAR offers hands-on experience within the manufacturing industry. Interns work directly with managers and senior leaders to gain professional insight into the product development life cycle, including design, prototyping, and testing. This is a full-time, paid position based in Kirkland, Washington, scheduled for Summer 2026.

What you'll do#

• Conduct market research to identify customer needs and opportunities for new products or improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, marketing, sales, and operations to support product launches.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
• Assist in the development of a forecasting tool.
• Support the planning and implementation of customer-focused research events.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Business Administration, Marketing, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Junior or senior standing is preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data for decision-making.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of or experience with Human Centered Design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
