About the role#
This is a rolling, full-time, paid internship based in Chillicothe, Ohio. You will provide administrative support to the human resources team while gaining exposure to daily HR operations in a manufacturing environment. This role requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Monitor applicant flow to support affirmative action reporting.
- Assist with new hire orientation, interviewing, and counseling sessions.
- Manage sensitive information and maintain accurate records, reports, and data lists.
- Act as a resource for department heads and handle documentation processes.
- Prepare correspondence and documents using a personal computer.
- Screen calls, visitors, and inquiries, routing them to the appropriate contact.
- Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, sorting, and managing office supplies.
- Serve as a backup for other office assistant roles as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college.
- A major in human resource management, labor relations, or business administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong customer service skills.
- General knowledge of human resource practices.
- Ability to work in a multi-client environment.
