About the role#
As a Systems Administrator Intern, you will join the Open Systems Administration Team to support infrastructure modernization and global service delivery. You will gain hands-on experience by working on business-critical systems, including infrastructure as code, cloud migration, and disaster recovery planning. This role is based in Renton, Washington, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support Azure Local migration planning, including workload tracking, server readiness, and validation.
- Assist with disaster recovery by documenting recovery procedures and validating system dependencies.
- Develop and maintain operational runbooks, technical procedures, and support documentation.
- Contribute to Azure reporting by gathering infrastructure data and improving visibility into system health.
- Identify opportunities to automate routine maintenance, monitoring, and reporting tasks.
- Assist with server administration, troubleshooting, upgrades, and optimization to ensure system reliability.
What you'll need#
- An undergraduate or graduate degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field.
- Foundational IT knowledge from academic projects, coursework, or previous internships.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
- Strong communication skills to interact with management, technical support groups, and team members.

- Compensation: Undergraduate students earn $25 per hour, and graduate students earn $30 per hour.
