About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Chillicothe, Ohio. You will work on-site, performing clerical and administrative tasks to support our medical department. This role requires you to work independently while receiving general supervision.
What you'll do#
- Perform specialized clerical and administrative duties using standard office equipment.
- Collect, analyze, and process information from various sources, including sensitive or confidential data.
- Act as a resource for department heads and assist with documentation processes.
- Compile and maintain records, reports, and data lists to ensure accurate distribution.
- Prepare correspondence and documents using a personal computer.
- Sort, file, and distribute documents and office supplies.
- Screen calls, visitors, and correspondence, providing information or routing complex inquiries to the right person.
- Serve as a backup for other office assistant roles as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in college.
- A major in human resource management, labor relations, or business management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Strong customer service skills.
- General knowledge of human resource practices.
- Consistent attendance, which is an essential function of this role.
