About the role#
We are looking for an intern to join our Engineering Business Insights team. You will support the development and deployment of intelligent systems by working on data preparation, model development, and performance evaluation. This role provides hands-on experience with real-world datasets and projects focused on predictive analytics, automation, and decision intelligence.
What you'll do#
- Support data scientists and engineers in developing, training, and deploying AI/ML models.
- Prepare structured and unstructured data for model training and evaluation.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns and insights.
- Implement and evaluate basic ML algorithms using standard metrics.
- Build dashboards and visualizations to communicate findings.
- Document workflows, assumptions, and results to ensure reproducibility.
- Contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions on AI/ML applications.
- Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate across teams to meet project goals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Mechanical Engineering. Junior or senior standing is preferred.
- Basic understanding of ML concepts and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Python or R, including experience with libraries like scikit-learn, pandas, and NumPy.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and version control systems is a plus.

- Compensation: $25 per hour for undergraduate students and $30 per hour for graduate students.
