About the role#
The North American Materials organization is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join the IT team in Chillicothe, Ohio. This summer internship offers hands-on experience in supply chain operations and data-driven decision making. You will work alongside experienced team members to develop data solutions and support reporting initiatives within a global manufacturing environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and maintenance of data warehouse and reporting solutions.
- Assist with data integration and ETL/ELT processes from multiple business systems.
- Organize, prepare, and validate data for analytics and reporting tasks.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and business users on various projects.
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI and Tableau.
- Support database and cloud platform activities involving technologies such as Snowflake, SQL Server, and AWS.
- Document data processes, business requirements, and technical solutions.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives through data analysis and problem solving.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor's degree in progress in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with junior or senior standing preferred.
- Demonstrated interest in data engineering, analytics, data science, or information technology.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and data structures.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to Python or other programming languages.
- Experience with reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau and source control tools such as GitHub.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

- Compensation: $25 per hour for undergraduate students and $30 per hour for graduate students.
