About the role#
PACCAR is seeking a Cloud Engineer Intern to join our Information Technology Division in Renton, Washington. This internship offers the opportunity to work alongside technical teams on enterprise-scale cloud services. You will explore new technologies and may lead specific projects during your time with us.
What you'll do#
- Deploy cloud services to multi-cloud environments using DevOps methodologies.
- Instrument deployments to support networking and containerized workloads.
- Improve cloud operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and contribute to ongoing projects.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor or Graduate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Typescript, or Rust.
- Experience with shell scripting in Bash or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of GitHub and CI/CD automation.
- Familiarity with cloud, distributed computing, and networking concepts.
- Experience with cloud providers like AWS, GCP, or Azure is preferred.
- Experience developing and deploying containerized workloads.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
- Understanding of distributed systems, including scalability, reliability, and performance.

- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Full-time.
- Compensation: $25 per hour for undergraduate students and $30 per hour for graduate students.
