About the role#
Peterbilt Motors Company is hiring a Safety Intern to join the Plant Human Resources team in Denton, Texas. This position involves direct support for safety initiatives and plant operations. The role is available for a rolling term through December 2026.
What you'll do#
- Assist with job hazard and risk assessments.
- Help develop electronic forms and tracking systems for inspections.
- Support incident documentation, investigations, and root cause analysis.
- Participate in job hazard analysis, risk assessments, and safe work planning.
- Help reinforce a behavior based safety culture.
- Rotate through various plant production departments.
- Develop new training curriculum and update existing materials.
- Assist with benchmarking and gap analysis for ISO 45001:2018 standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Human Resources, Business Administration, or related degree program.
- Completion of at least the sophomore year of college.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- A resourceful, self-starting approach to work.
- Professionalism and analytical thinking skills.

- Location: Denton, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time hours are available between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
