About the role#
As a Robotic Programming/Welding Intern, you will support our fabrication departments by managing the operation, programming, and maintenance of welding robots. This position is based on the 1st shift and involves a mix of office-based tasks and hands-on work on the production floor.
What you'll do#
- Operate robots, observe their performance, and train others on their use.
- Monitor robot operations to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing processes and tooling related to robot programming.
- Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of fixtures.
- Write welding programs to ensure safe, high-quality welds and improve existing technology.
- Identify and coordinate projects involving robots, such as new technology integration or capital equipment installation.
- Interpret blueprints, symbols, and assemblies to support failure analysis.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program in weld engineering, robotics, mechatronics, programming, engineering, or a related field.
- A background in fabrication is preferred.
- Experience with offline programming is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking on shop floors, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

- Compensation: $18.00 - $37.00 per hour.
