About the role#
The Occupational Safety Intern will join the safety department to support various projects and gain experience across different functional areas of the business. This is a full-time, paid internship for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Review written programs and procedures while developing training curriculums.
- Assist with accident investigations and follow up on required corrective actions.
- Conduct ergonomic assessments and recommend potential improvements.
- Quantify and present safety and health statistics to the management team.
- Support and manage the Safety Management System (SMS).
- Provide general support to the safety department on various projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Safety and Occupational Health or a related field, such as Industrial Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Ability to learn new programs quickly.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently.
