About the role#
Oshkosh Corporation is hiring a Software Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Wisconsin. You will support the engineering team by designing vehicle control software and working on projects that range from simple tasks to complex analytical assignments.
What you'll do#
- Write quality, maintainable, object-oriented C++ software.
- Develop and maintain PC programs used for truck-specific programming.
- Identify and control vehicle operation and maintenance risks.
- Prepare and maintain software documentation.
- Test truck-specific programming to ensure it operates as specified.
- Participate in peer reviews and other engineering activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.
