About the role#
Join us as a Blending Coordinator Intern in Houston, Texas. This hands-on internship supports terminal operations by assisting with mechanical, electrical, and operational tasks related to product blending and movement. You will work alongside skilled technicians to gain real-world experience in a terminal environment while learning industry safety and compliance standards.
What you'll do#
- Assist with monitoring product movements during loading, unloading, and blend line activities.
- Support the transfer of products to storage vessels and complete valve lineups under supervision.
- Observe and assist with product sampling and basic testing procedures.
- Participate in daily facility inspections and document findings.
- Learn and apply company policies regarding operational safety, including System Integrity Plan and Process Safety Management requirements.
- Shadow technicians during routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment like pumps, motors, valves, and instrumentation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to operations and maintenance.
- Attend and participate in safety meetings and training sessions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a two-year vocational or technical training program in electronics, electricity, diesel mechanics, or a related field.
- Current enrollment in an associate or bachelor degree program.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and an interest in terminal operations or industrial equipment.
- A willingness to learn and follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
- Flexibility to work shift schedules, including weekends and holidays.
