About the role#
Oberg Industries offers co-op positions for students pursuing degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Freeport, Pennsylvania. We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2026 and Summer 2027 terms.
What you'll do#
- Shadow current employees to learn manufacturing practices and procedures.
- Rotate through multiple departments to gain diverse, hands-on training relevant to your field of study.
- Assist with documentation required for your co-op experience.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform physical tasks as required, such as standing, sitting, or bending for 4 to 8 hours per day and lifting up to 35 pounds.
- Wear required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, earplugs, respirators, and safety shoes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a college student with a declared major in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in basic math skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong communication skills, whether written, verbal, or through other methods.
- U.S. citizenship or compliance with U.S. export regulations.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
