About the role#
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Computer Engineer Intern for our Space Systems Sector in Manhattan Beach, California. This is a paid, full-time summer internship for 2027.
What you'll do#
- Perform various duties across electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, or optical areas.
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from engineering drawings and follow written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment and conduct tests while reporting data in a prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks.
- Make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university.
- Intent to be enrolled full-time in Fall 2027.
- A major in a STEM field, specifically Computer Engineering.
- Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance and Program Special access (U.S. citizenship is required).
- A cumulative GPA of 3.00/4.0 or higher is preferred.

- Pay: Bachelor's students receive $26.75 to $32.50 per hour. Master's students receive $38.00 to $40.00 per hour.
