About the role#
The Northern Texas PGA is hiring for a 12-week internship focused on Junior Tour tournament operations for the summer of 2027. This position provides hands-on experience in golf tournament management, event logistics, and Junior Golf programming. You will work alongside staff, PGA of America professionals, and industry partners to help conduct approximately 25-30 Junior Tour tournaments and various Foundation programs, including Drive, Chip and Putt qualifiers.
What you'll do#
- Manage pre-tournament tasks including collecting tournament information and setting up golf courses, equipment, and signage.
- Handle on-site event duties such as player registration, starting, rules officiating, scoring, and awards presentations.
- Complete post-tournament reporting, distribute results, and manage equipment tear-down.
- Transport, maintain, and inventory tournament equipment.
- Communicate clearly with host professional staff, junior golfers, parents, caddies, and spectators.
- Support Section and Foundation operations through various on-site assignments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or holding a college degree, with preference for third or fourth-year students.
- Access to an automobile and the ability to travel throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
- Existing personal or school-provided insurance.
- Ability to work early mornings, stand for extended periods, and work outdoors in extreme weather.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds, such as tents, tables, stakes, and signage.
- Ability to safely operate a golf cart and use equipment like cell phones, tablets, and hand-held radios.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smartphone apps.
- Strong public speaking skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

- Location: Frisco, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 25 to August 8).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid internship with a minimum of $600 per two-week pay period and overtime pay for hours exceeding 40 per week. Uniforms are provided.
