About the role#
The Northern Texas PGA is seeking a Junior Golf Coach intern to join the team at The Ronny Golf Park in Frisco. This position offers hands-on experience in junior golf instruction and program development. You will work alongside staff to deliver programming for children ages 3-14 while building your coaching expertise and industry connections.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deliver golf instruction for junior golfers of various skill levels.
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and positive encouragement to participants.
- Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
- Communicate with junior golfers, parents, and staff regarding progress and program details.
- Assist with the organization and execution of classes, camps, and special events.
- Monitor and maintain coaching equipment and facilities.
- Promote programs to attract and retain participants.
- Administer basic first aid and follow all safety protocols and park policies.
What you'll need#
- Completed high school.
- Demonstrated experience in coaching or teaching golf, specifically with junior audiences.
- Knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and etiquette.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with children.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate golf swings and techniques clearly.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move golf equipment up to 25 pounds.
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug test, and job-specific training.

- Term: Winter 2027 (January 6, 2027 to May 12, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Includes evenings and weekends.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
