About the role#
The Northern Texas PGA is looking for a Junior Golf Coach intern for the Summer 2027 season at The Ronny Golf Park in Frisco, Texas. This paid, full-time internship provides hands-on experience in junior golf programming and facility operations. You will work alongside PGA of America professionals and staff to help grow the game within the community.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deliver golf instruction for junior golfers of various skill levels.
- Create age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for group and individual sessions.
- Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to students.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Communicate program details and progress to parents, guardians, and staff.
- Assist with the organization of camps, classes, and special events.
- Monitor facility conditions and maintain coaching equipment.
- Administer basic first aid and follow all safety protocols.
- Promote park programs and initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Completed high school.
- Demonstrated experience coaching or teaching golf to children.
- Knowledge of golf rules, etiquette, and fundamentals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to demonstrate golf swings and techniques.
- Ability to stand and move around the facility for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must pass a background check, drug test, and job-specific training.

- Location: Frisco, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 25, 2027 to August 17, 2027).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Available to work weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
