Project Management Co-Op/Intern

About the role#

Nidec Aerospace is seeking a Project Management Co-op to support the development of electric propulsion systems for battery-powered aircraft. This role provides hands-on experience in project planning, execution, and coordination within mechanical and electrical engineering teams. You will work closely with experienced professionals to support projects from ideation through production.

What you'll do#

• Assist project managers and engineering teams in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Create and maintain project schedules, timelines, and milestones.
• Coordinate resources, equipment, and information to support project activities.
• Assist with budget tracking, cost estimation, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and present project status reports, progress updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Support project documentation, including specifications, drawings, and technical reports.
• Assist in technical reviews, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for project management processes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• A strong academic background with coursework in project management or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software such as MS Project, Jira, or Power BI.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team environment and independently.
• Prior internship or co-op experience in project management or engineering is considered a plus.
