Internal Controls Co Op

About the role#

Nidec Motor Corporation is seeking an Internal Controls Co-Op to work within the MOEN operating unit. This role reports to the Senior Director of Internal Control and Administration. The position focuses on supporting the development, monitoring, and execution of internal controls, remediation actions, and related administrative tasks to ensure compliance with corporate policies and statutory reporting obligations.

What you'll do#

• Assist in all phases of internal control and operational process reviews, including planning, fieldwork, reporting, and follow-up.
• Support the preparation of work papers and organize data for business requirements.
• Coordinate with process owners to track the disposition of audit and internal control findings.
• Participate in the implementation of recommendations and corrective actions.
• Assist in executing process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the global internal controls framework, including technology-based improvements.
• Prepare periodic status reports for management.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Accounting or Finance.
• Basic knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and audit concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple concurrent tasks under time constraints.
• Ability to work independently and adjust priorities to achieve accurate, timely results.
• Aptitude for identifying process improvement opportunities and managing change.
• Knowledge of Data Analytics is considered a plus.
