About the role#
This is an unpaid, for-credit internship for the Winter 2027 semester. You will work on-site at our Portsmouth location to support the daily lifestyle and entertainment show. This role involves 12 to 15 morning hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a schedule determined by your supervisor.
What you'll do#
- Plan and prepare for daily lifestyle and entertainment broadcasts.
- Assist producers with the daily show rundown, including writing content and creating graphics.
- Manage floor directing duties during the show.
- Greet guests and assist with microphone placement.
- Handle set logistics, including prop setup, takedown, and wrapping the set after production.
- Operate cameras as needed.
- Maintain the kitchen area.
- Publish stories to the station website.
- Create content for social media platforms.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college degree program and the ability to provide proof of enrollment in an internship course.
- Completed coursework in communications, journalism, TV production, theater, or a related field.
- Ability to maintain composure under strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact with the production team and show guests.
