About the role#
NewPath Child & Family Solutions offers an internship program for students to gain experience in behavioral health. You will work within our outpatient department, focusing on the treatment and educational needs of children and families facing mental health or behavioral concerns. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role with rolling start dates.
What you'll do#
- Shadow experienced social work professionals to learn daily operations.
- Observe or co-facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Conduct phone calls for service coordination and client engagement.
- Provide clinical support to staff as needed.
- Attend agency meetings to learn about our specific programs and services.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program for Social Work, Counseling, or Family and Child Studies.
- A Bachelor's degree and current enrollment in a Master's program for Counseling, Social Work, or a Chemical Dependency Counselor program.
- Active Counselor in Training (CT) status with the Ohio Counselor Board or Social Worker Trainee (SWT) status with the Social Worker Board.
- At least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license, proof of current auto insurance, and a clean driving record with no more than 5 points.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
