About the role#
The Newman University Athletic Department is hiring a Sports Information Assistant to support the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications. This is a part-time, on-site role with a rolling start date. You will work up to 20 hours per week, primarily during evenings and weekends.
What you'll do#
- Manage equipment set up and tear down before and after athletic events.
- Record live statistics and post updates to social media throughout games.
- Operate the scoreboard, public address system, and audio equipment.
- Run the camera and monitor live streaming feeds.
- Draft game stories and create graphic design or photography content.
- Assist with moving and lifting equipment as needed.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time Newman University student (12 credit hours per semester).
- General knowledge of athletic events.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Punctuality and a dependable work ethic.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- Location: Wichita, Kansas.
- Pay: $8.25 per hour.
- Schedule: Varies weekly based on game schedules.
