About the role#
Newman University is hiring Navigator Peer Guides for the Fall 2026 term. This paid position focuses on helping incoming freshmen transition to university life. You will work directly with students in Flight Planning classes to provide guidance and support.
What you'll do#
- Act as a resource for freshmen regarding social, personal, and academic concerns.
- Lead discussions and activities during Flight Planning classes.
- Help new students and their families learn about campus resources, university policies, and student activities.
- Assist with the general success of the Navigator Program.
- Complete other tasks as needed.
What you'll need#
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A reliable, responsible, and self-motivated approach to work.
- The ability to work well in a team with a positive attitude and sense of humor.
- An understanding of the Navigator Program goals.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This role is located on-site in Wichita, Kansas.
- The position is for the Fall 2026 term.
- Compensation is a $400 stipend.
