About the role#
Newman University is hiring a Theatre Assistant for the Fall 2026 term. This part-time position supports the Theatre Department with building and technology needs for music, theatre, and various campus events.
What you'll do#
- Build sets and work in the shop.
- Hang and focus stage lights.
- Manage sound and production tasks for events.
- Run errands as needed.

- Current enrollment as a full-time Newman University student.
- Experience with carpentry and electrical work.
- Proficiency using power tools.

Location & details#
- Location: Wichita, Kansas.
- Work modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week during business hours, with some evening and weekend work required.
- Compensation: $8.25 per hour.
