About the role#
The Security Engineer Intern will join the Technology, Data, AI & Ventures (TDAV) organization for an 11-week summer program. This role focuses on protecting enterprise systems, applications, and data through hands-on cybersecurity work. Interns will engage with security tools, automation platforms, and threat intelligence resources to support the company's defensive operations.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain cybersecurity solutions to protect enterprise assets.
- Monitor security events, analyze alerts, and investigate potential threats.
- Strengthen security controls across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Support secure code changes, configuration improvements, and vulnerability assessments.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams to enhance monitoring capabilities.
- Utilize AI-powered technologies to detect and respond to emerging cyber threats.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Expected graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including network security, threat detection, and incident response.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Interest in security automation and tool integration.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the 11-week summer program.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: New York, New York.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with three days per week on-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May to August).
- Compensation: Paid internship with a rate of $30-35 per hour and a $3,000 bonus.
