About the role#
This is a year-round, full-time internship based in Vienna, Virginia. You will work with the IT Reporting & Analytics team to gain insight into business operations and technology procedures. This role involves supporting focused areas, applying your academic knowledge to real-world projects, and collaborating across multiple departments while receiving guidance from management.
What you'll do#
- Perform data analysis to identify opportunities for service improvement.
- Create reports, charts, and graphs to provide strong data visualizations.
- Process and update data in automated systems.
- Generate and analyze reports as needed.
- Execute day-to-day tasks and special projects within established company standards and policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university degree program related to Information Technology, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Experience with data analysis, business analysis, or process re-engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically with Excel formulas and pivot tables.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience documenting, editing, and reviewing processes.
- A positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships.
- Dependability and a commitment to following process standards and company policies.
- Preferred experience includes work with the ServiceNow Performance Analytics module, dashboard development, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Location & details#
- Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (minimum 20-25 hours per week, flexible based on school schedule).
