About the role#
The Future Talent Program offers a co-op experience lasting 5 to 6 months. You will support the Global Supplier Management Group in direct advanced strategy and procurement. This role involves working on multiple projects to help meet strategic and operating objectives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Legal, and internal stakeholders, to drive improvements in cost, supplier performance, and supply risk management.
What you'll do#
- Conduct market intelligence and supplier analyses to provide insights to sourcing teams.
- Construct detailed cost models and purchase price analyses.
- Prepare reports on category spend, savings, compliance, and other metrics.
- Create and execute RFIs, RFPs, and e-Auctions.
- Participate in pre-negotiation planning and join negotiation sessions with suppliers.
- Conduct risk assessments, including financial solvency and compliance checks.
- Manage financial reporting systems and maintain up-to-date data.
- Support the annual budget and profit planning process.
- Actively participate in category teams and share work learnings with colleagues.
- Enforce compliance with Global Procurement policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a sophomore or junior in a Bachelor's program, or enrollment in an MBA program.
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Market Research, Communications, or a science-related discipline such as Biology, Chemistry, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong project management, data collection, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to deliver clear presentations.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations.
- Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to work on cross-functional teams.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Experience with Power BI, Qlik, or similar data visualization tools is preferred.
- Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a Fortune 500 company is preferred.
- Completion of two or more previous internships or co-ops is preferred.

- This is a full-time, paid position.
- The role is based in either Rahway, New Jersey, or West Point, Pennsylvania.
- The work modality is hybrid.
