About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will join our Prelaunch program, a three-month development journey designed to provide foundational experience in civil engineering consulting. You will work alongside mentors, project managers, and subject matter experts to tackle complex challenges and deliver sustainable solutions.
What you'll do#
- Design engineering solutions and refine technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress.
- Participate in project and client meetings.
- Analyze reports and technical specifications.
- Explore project and client management workflows.
- Use digital tools to support innovation.
- Contribute to sustainable project outcomes.
- Build professional connections through our Early Career Professionals Network.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in the field through internships, volunteering, or organization memberships.
- A methodical and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Proficient communication skills to engage with clients and colleagues.
- A resilient, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders.
- A collaborative spirit and commitment to teamwork.
Location & details#
- Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.
- Note: We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
