About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Chicago. You will join the Devices Android Application Development team to build software for public safety customers.
What you'll do#
Your responsibilities cover the full software development lifecycle. You will gather requirements and handle the architecture and design of Android applications. You will also write code, test features, deploy updates, and maintain existing mobile applications.
What you'll need#
We require you to be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline. Your graduation date must be December 2027 or later. You must be a US citizen, a permanent resident, or an MS student with valid work authorization.
While not required, it is helpful if you have experience with Kotlin, Android framework components like Bluetooth or sensors, and Android security features. Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, object-oriented development, and Agile methodologies is also beneficial.
