About the role#
The Suites Sales & Service Intern will support the Suites Department at Capital One Arena, which manages client services and operations for over 110 suites and the members-only Player’s Club. This role provides hands-on hospitality experience within the sports industry for the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with event-night responsibilities for Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Georgetown Hoyas, and Washington Mystics games, as well as concerts and arena events.
- Coordinate special events and communicate directly with arena vendors and suite clients.
- Manage departmental requests for the Ambassador program, including coordinating with Alumni and documenting client interactions.
- Learn and utilize the Salesforce CRM database to assist with the suite rental process.
- Handle general office duties, assist with suite-related stadium projects, and support arena transformation tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student.
- Academic background or previous experience in hospitality or sports marketing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays for all special events.
- Relevant majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
