About the role#
The Event Production intern will support the Event Production department with back-of-house and front-of-house operations for events at Capital One Arena. This includes basketball games, hockey games, concerts, and various ancillary events. This is a paid, part-time, and seasonal position.
What you'll do#
- Assist the team in the planning, organization, and supervision of all events at Capital One Arena.
- Manage and maintain the arena Event Calendar in coordination with the Booking department.
- Work with the Operations Department to confirm room setups for meetings, concourse layouts for games, and chair configurations for concerts.
- Create and organize event documentation for building-wide activities.
- Update and maintain historical event data.
- Attend advance and weekly department meetings.
What you'll need#
- Previous internship or experience in venue management, operations, or event management.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Pursuing or holding a degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, or Media Studies.
